This week's Tech Yeah comes to you from my 10 year old daughter who just gathered all her birthday money up and went out and bought a smart TV. In this case, she picked up the TCL 32" 3-Series 720p Roku Smart TV. Now, is this the most baller TV you can buy on the market? No! But it's insanely cheap for what it is. It's a 720p panel but at 32" the difference is negligible. It has built-in Roku so you don't even need a separate box or dongle. Just plug in the TV, fire up the Wi-Ffi, and you're golden. It has 3 HDMI Ports on the back so you can even connect other devices if you need them.
I'm a big fan of Roku in general. There's a ton of great content there. There are hundreds of channels of free content you can stream. The interface is simple, if a little outdated, but it's a great way to collect all your streaming apps in one place.
So why am I pimping a 720p TV in 2020? Quite simply because it's dirt cheap and my daughter was able to buy it with her own money. She's 10. You're probably older than that. You're probably sitting there consuming content on your phone, tablet, or computer, and here's a 32" TV that costs less than all of those and it's ready to go. So, this is not an amazing piece of engineering. Far from it. But it is cheap and would be great to stick in a guest room, or bedroom. I wouldn't recommend this for a primary TV that the whole family can enjoy. CErtainly not, but if you're in the market for a cheap secondary screen, look no further.
So anyway, if you need a stupid cheap TV - maybe for your 10 year old daughter, hit up the photo below to go to Amazon to buy it. As always, as an affiliate of Amazon I may make a small commission on certain qualified items.
